WHY YOU SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE:
This is an excellent course for scuba divers, boat crew, lifeguards, freedivers, mermaids or anyone who spends time in and around the water. Knowing how and when to administer emergency oxygen is a valuable skill to have in a dive emergency. This is the preferred first aid for scuba diving injuries when early administration can drastically improve the outcome for an injured diver.

WHAT YOU LEARN:
Become a DAN Emergency Oxygen Provider (EO2). Independent study eLearning then Practical Applications with Bruce. No dives required. You will become proficient disassembling and assembling oxygen equipment for quick response in an emergency. Bruce will teach you: how to deploy a non-rebreather mask and a demand inhalator valve for a breathing diver: how to attach a rescue breathing mask with oxygen for a nonbreathing diver; how to use a manually triggered resuscitator valve for a nonbreathing diver; and how to provide emergency care to multiple divers simultaneously. This course teaches you how to administer life-saving oxygen first aid to divers who may be suffering from decompression illness (DCI). You'll learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of decompression illness and respond to them accordingly.
